I had a latte (smooth, velvety, with just the right strength) and a mushroom burger that totally surprised me—in the best way. Oh my. Le Comptoir is a gem on the Marda Loop on 33rd at the edge of Altador in Calgary. Note...the space is tiny. You'll be lucky to ever get a seat indoors. But there's also space outside. In the winter there's even a fire going outdoors. The service is no nonsense straight to the point. I was cracking a joke but they just wanted my order. So maybe they could lighten up a bit. The food is top notch. The pastries, baking and coffee here is insanely good. 5 x
It was the most amazing Mocha I've ever had!!! The pastries are fresh and when warmed...absolutely delightful! There are prime times to visit here and parking can be a challenge which is an indication of the excellent variety in menu, taste and quality of items served! Well done Le Comptoir! I will be back!
Such a gorgeous place and a beautiful cafe. Food was great but the environment and vibe of the place tied it all in. We got lucky and sat infront of the fire place on a chilly morning. It can get REALLY busy for a small cafe its size, so come early. Got the gourmet grilled cheese, cappuccino, pastry and matcha. All very tasty. Super cute date.

Lovely, cozy covered outdoor sitting area. They have blankets, heaters, and a fireplace it’s a cold day. I’ve been there twice and both times the staff has been friendly. This was a vanilla soy latte, not made with vanilla syrup, but rather with real vanilla extract, and it was delicious.
I visited this cafe and was truly impressed! I had the mushroom burger — it looked amazing and tasted even better! The mushrooms were absolutely delicious, and as a chef, I can confidently say it was a solid 10 out of 10! The atmosphere is cozy and warm, especially with the fireplace that adds a beautiful touch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I genuinely recommend this place and will definitely come back again!
